Bronny James Hospitalized After Experiencing Cardiac Arrest

Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, experienced a cardiac arrest while practicing at USC. Thankfully, he is now in stable condition and has been moved out of intensive care, according to a family representative.

During a practice session at USC’s Galen Center, 18-year-old Bronny James, who is set to join the USC basketball team as a freshman, collapsed and was immediately transported to a hospital via ambulance. Initially, he was admitted to the intensive care unit.

A James family representative stated, “Yesterday, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest while practicing. The medical staff quickly provided treatment and took him to the hospital. He is currently in stable condition and has been transferred out of the ICU. We kindly request privacy and respect for the James family, and we will provide further updates to the media as necessary.”

The representative also expressed gratitude towards the USC medical and athletic staff, stating, “LeBron and Savannah would like to extend their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their exceptional dedication and efforts in ensuring the safety of their athletes.”

Bronny James, a 6-foot-3 guard, previously played for Sierra Canyon High School and is highly regarded as one of the most promising freshman college players. CBS ranks him 27th in the class of 2023 recruits, and he is expected to be a top pick in the 2024 NBA draft.

LeBron James has expressed his desire to continue playing in the NBA until he can share the court with his son.

Last year, another USC basketball player, Vince Iwuchukwu, also collapsed from cardiac arrest during practice. Thanks to the quick response from the team’s training staff, he made a full recovery and returned to the team.
