Four suspects apprehended for their alleged involvement in numerous thefts from retail establishments across Los Angeles, Carson, Lakewood, and nearby areas were taken into custody, as announced by the Los Angeles Police Department Organized Retail Crime Task Force on Tuesday.
The task force detectives successfully carried out two search warrants last Thursday at undisclosed residential locations in Los Angeles, resulting in the arrest of Daronica Harris and Quenda Scott, according to police reports.
Both individuals were subsequently charged with grand theft and are presently being held in custody on a bail amounting to $150,000 each. Following a thorough investigation, two additional suspects were apprehended, one for an existing felony warrant and the other for identity theft, the police added.
The identities of the third and fourth suspects have not been disclosed. Preliminary investigations conducted by detectives uncovered a stolen firearm, approximately $1,800 in cash, burglary tools, and various stolen items from the retail establishments, as stated by the police.
The stolen merchandise was identified by the affected businesses’ employees, resulting in the return of approximately $4,500 worth of items, according to the police department.
