Bosch Tribute Reddick Wersching

Wersching portrayed Officer Julia Brasher on Bosch, appearing as a series regular in Season 1 and then as a recurring guest star. She passed away on January 29, 2021, after battling cancer.

Reddick, who played Chief of Police Irvin Irving throughout all seven seasons of Bosch, also made an appearance in Bosch: Legacy Season 2. Tragically, he died on March 17, 2021.

“One of the great gifts we had was bringing [Lance] back for one more scene,” revealed executive producer Tom Bernardo in an interview with TVInsider. “We had that devastating news hit, but we still have that last moment together. We’re thankful for it.”

At the age of 45, Wersching left behind an impressive body of work. In addition to her role on Bosch, she appeared in popular shows such as 24, Runaways, Timeless, Castle, Revolution, Angel, The Vampire Diaries, and Frasier. Even until her untimely death, she continued to make an impact with recurring roles on Star Trek: Picard and The Rookie. Wersching lent her voice to the character Tess in the acclaimed video game The Last of Us, which has since been adapted into a successful HBO TV series.

Reddick, known for his iconic roles as Lieutenant Cedric Daniels on The Wire and General Phillip Broyles on Fringe, passed away at the age of 60. He left behind a remarkable legacy in film and television, including appearances in The Blacklist, Key & Peele, Resident Evil, the animated revival of DuckTales, Netflix’s Castlevania, and the John Wick series. Reddick recently starred in Showtime’s The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial movie, and he is set to portray Zeus in Disney+’s upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series.
