Belleville Man Found Guilty for Murder of East St. Louis Resident in Washington County: Exploring the Case

A Belleville man has been convicted of first-degree murder for the shooting death of an East St. Louis man in Washington County in July.

Kevin Loucks, 44, has been found guilty by a jury in Washington County for the murder of Montez Pearson, 44, from East St. Louis. This verdict was announced in a news release from Illinois State Police.

The charges against Milton Robinson, 58, from Belleville, and Arrion T. Sanders, 45, from East St. Louis, are still pending in relation to this case and both men have also been charged with murder.

According to the charging documents, Montez Pearson suffered a fatal shotgun blast to his head.

The body of Montez Pearson was discovered on July 19 in the vicinity of Lunte Creek Road, west of Nashville, as stated in a news release by the state police.

Kevin Loucks was apprehended on July 23 following the execution of a search warrant at his residence in Belleville.

Sentencing for Kevin Loucks is scheduled for December 14.

We attempted to reach Attorney Dennis Hatch, who represented Loucks, for comment but were unsuccessful.

The trial for Milton Robinson and Arrion T. Sanders is set for January 22, according to records from Washington County court.

During the investigation, Illinois State Police received assistance from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Belleville Police Department.
