The Issue: The State’s Use of Randall’s Island and Floyd Bennett Field to House Migrants

How can Governor Hochul and her associates justify extracting $20 million per month from taxpayers’ pockets for the “complex” on Randall’s Island? Where are the checks and balances in this situation? When will this exploitation of taxpayers come to an end?

The migrant crisis in New York City and the tragic wildfires on Maui share a few similarities: they occur in deep-blue states, Democrats see no political advantage in these dire circumstances, and, at the highest levels of government, they are being neglected by Democratic politicians. Where have New York Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand been while over 100,000 mostly unvetted border-crossers have flooded into the Big Apple? Finally, we have the party’s “leader,” President Biden, showing little empathy and mumbling detached comments between vacations. Why are Democrats paying so little attention to the distressing situations faced by their loyal constituents? It’s simply because they can. Politicians assume that these unfortunate individuals can be treated like mere tools and will still vote for the Democratic party. Thus far, the cynical Democrats have been proven right.

Governor Kathy Hochul has announced the commencement of the fourth phase of improvements at the New York State Fairgrounds, a $34.7 million project aimed at enhancing agricultural facilities at the Fairgrounds in Syracuse.

Hochul plans to allow 2,500 undocumented individuals into Floyd Bennett Field, an area surrounded by hard-working families with children. Can she guarantee that all these individuals are law-abiding citizens? Did she ensure that each one went through a thorough screening process before letting them wander around our neighborhoods? Absolutely not. She knows nothing about them. Instead, she should take them to Albany or, better yet, muster the courage to say “no” to any further unauthorized immigration into our state. She should declare, “There is no more room at the inn.” And she should tighten our state’s borders. Hochul and the mayor need to be removed from office before our great state goes down the drain.

Instead of public golf courses, New York City should consider repurposing the space to build tent cities. Let’s continue to diminish recreational spaces and activities for the residents of New York. The city has an excess of space and funding that they seem unsure how to utilize. Bleeding-heart liberals have a fondness for illegal immigrants.

It is high time for the state Legislature to promptly revoke New York City’s sanctuary city status. Mayor Adams should proactively turn those immigrant buses around and send them to Delaware. Transforming the city’s soccer fields and baseball diamonds into tent cities is ethically wrong. Our children deserve a mayor who will fight for them. This entire situation is the responsibility of President Biden. Who in their right mind would support open borders?

To alleviate the issue of migrant housing in New York City, why not send a few busloads to Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach in Delaware? I’ve heard that Rehoboth is lovely this time of year. Since summer is coming to an end, there will likely be available housing. But why stop there? A couple of busloads at the White House would have a significant impact. It would also enlighten President Biden about the problems he has created. Let’s not be too kind, as he certainly isn’t.

Hey, New York! Are you tired of dealing with these illegal aliens? Tired of the expenses? There’s a simple solution. Send them back to Mexico. They entered the country illegally, so send them back.

The Biden-Harris administration intentionally seeks to overwhelm the system and cause its collapse. They don’t care about the consequences of open borders on border communities and cities far from the border.
