Arrested Gunman Captured at High-profile Event with RFK Jr.: Shocking Turn of Events

Authorities have revealed the identity of a man who allegedly posed as a U.S. marshal during a National Hispanic Heritage Month event at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre, where Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democratic presidential candidate, was speaking.

The suspect, Adrian Paul Aispuro, aged 44, has been charged with a felony gun offense and is currently being held on bail worth $35,000, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Information Center.

Aispuro was apprehended on Friday at 4:40 p.m. by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire station, after a call reporting a disturbance at the theater was received at approximately 4:30 p.m., according to Officer Drake Madison from City News Service.

Officers successfully located Aispuro, who was allegedly impersonating a U.S. marshal and claimed to be a member of Kennedy’s security team.

“No one was harmed, and he did not pose a threat,” Madison informed CNS.

The police discovered that the suspect was carrying two pistols and wearing a U.S. Marshals Service badge on a lanyard.

Madison also mentioned that the FBI had been contacted, but it was decided that the LAPD would handle the arrest and investigation.

“I am immensely grateful to the vigilant and quick-acting protectors from Gavin de Becker and Associates (GDBA) who apprehended an armed individual attempting to approach me during my Hispanic Heritage speech at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles tonight,” Kennedy wrote on X, expressing his gratitude for his security detail. “The individual, who was carrying two loaded pistols and extra ammunition magazines in shoulder holsters, had a U.S. Marshal badge attached to a lanyard and beltclip federal ID. He identified himself as a member of my security team. The armed GDBA team acted promptly to isolate and apprehend the individual until the LAPD arrived to make the arrest. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the LAPD for their swift response.

“I am still hopeful that President Biden will grant me Secret Service protection.”

In July, Kennedy’s request for Secret Service protection was denied by federal officials. According to U.S. law, “major” presidential candidates are eligible for protection during the primary season, but the decision lies with the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with a bipartisan committee of House and Senate leaders.

The Wilshire Ebell Theatre is situated less than 2 miles east of the Ambassador Hotel, where Robert F. Kennedy, the candidate’s father, was assassinated on June 5, 1968.
