Arrest Follows Cellphone Incident Resulting in Stitches for Bebe Rexha

Bebe Rexha has expressed feeling “good” after being hit in the face by a cellphone during her recent concert in New York City. The incident occurred while she was performing at the Rooftop at Pier 17, when a cellphone was thrown at her from the crowd. Video footage of the performance shows Rexha falling to her knees before being taken offstage. She was later brought to a nearby hospital in stable condition and needed three stitches.

The perpetrator, Nicolas Malvagna of Manalapan, N.J., was arrested at the concert and charged with assault. The New York Police Department stated that he intentionally threw the cellphone at the singer.

Following the incident, Bebe Rexha shared a photo on Instagram, showing a bruised left eye and a bandage above her left eyebrow, with the caption “I’m good.”

Rexha, who is currently on her “Best F’n Night of My Life” tour, has upcoming performances in Washington, Atlanta, Orlando, and Philadelphia. The singer-songwriter has also been nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 2019. She recently released her latest album “Bebe” featuring a collaboration with David Guetta titled “I’m Good (Blue),” which samples Eiffel 65’s “Blue (Da Be Dee).”
