A restaurant-booking app known as Dorsia has gained notoriety for offering reservations at exclusive New York City restaurants, but it comes at a hefty price and has received its fair share of criticism, as reported by On The Money.
Dorsia, a members-only platform, promises access to sought-after dining establishments like Carbone, Bad Roman, and Via Carota. However, users must be willing to pay up to $500 per person for the privilege. Despite the app’s claims, one knowledgeable source revealed that only Carbone is truly difficult to book, while the other restaurants can easily be contacted through Instagram.
Some industry insiders worry that the app’s availability to anyone willing to pay could discourage A-listers from frequenting these establishments. In fact, Wall Street interns have taken to social media to boast about their successful reservations at popular hotspots like 4 Charles and Torrisi.
