American Airlines Attendant Accused of Taking a Toddler’s Snack Box, Claims Passenger

  • A passenger on an American Airlines flight had her 3-year-old’s snack box taken by a flight attendant.
  • Upon opening the box, the passenger was forced to throw it away.
  • The incident was shared on X, and the airline responded positively to the post.

An X user, @dynamicallydara, experienced an unfortunate incident on an American Airlines flight. The passenger opened her 3-year-old nephew’s snack box, which contained Cheerios, cheese crackers, small muffins, and a PB&J sandwich.

However, a flight attendant saw the homemade snack box and took it to show a friend at the front of the plane. During the flight attendant’s absence, the passenger decided to discard the food.

Expressing frustration on social media, the passenger tagged American Airlines, which responded by acknowledging the incident and apologizing for the crew member’s behavior.

Both American Airlines and the X user have not responded to Insider’s request for comment.

The X user confronted the flight attendant after the flight

After American Airlines’ initial response, the X user expressed dissatisfaction with the airline’s handling of the situation.

She proceeded to provide further details about what transpired during the incident. The aunt, traveling from St. Louis, Missouri, to Dallas, Texas, recounted how the flight attendant approached her and took the snack box without permission.

The passenger made the decision to throw away the food because it had left her sight and she was unsure of its condition. She refrained from addressing the flight attendant during the flight to avoid escalation.

Upon landing, the passenger requested a conversation with the flight attendant, who apologized but attempted to justify her actions. The X user rejected the flight attendant’s explanation and emphasized the importance of respecting personal belongings.

This incident adds to the list of chaotic travel stories experienced during the summer, such as unruly passengers, lost tickets, and other airline food-related mishaps.
