Amazing Wisconsin Police Save Youth in Distress: Lake Michigan Rescue!

A young woman in distress was saved by police after intentionally entering the turbulent waters of Lake Michigan.

Kenosha Police Department officers came to the rescue of the woman in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after a passerby spotted her sitting on the rocks near the shoreline and called for help.

Upon arriving at the Lake Michigan shore, video evidence showed the officers noticing the woman preparing to throw herself into the water.

In the footage, police officers can be heard urgently advising the woman, who was perched on the edge of a rock, “Don’t do it! Don’t do it!”

As she slipped off the rock and into the water, one of the officers swiftly jumped in after her, while the others worked together to assist in her rescue.

Police officers from Kenosha, Wisconsin, urged the woman not to enter the turbulent water. Once she slipped in, she can be heard saying that she wanted “to die” and that her life wasn’t “worth” the trouble.

The woman’s cries for help, “Let me die! I’m not worth it!”, echoed from the water.

And she continued, “I wanna die!”

The officers reassured her that she was valuable and persisted in their rescue efforts.

“Grab the rope! Grab the rope!”

“You are worth it!” they repeatedly assured her.

They urged her to “Grab the rope! Grab the rope!”

Following the remarkable rescue on September 15, both the woman and one of the officers were treated for hypothermia, according to SWNS.
