In a remarkable turn of events, a pet parrot named Albert was found more than 30 miles away from home after going missing.
Albert’s owner, Lorrett McCutcheon, was shocked to discover that her clever parrot had managed to unlock his cage and escape.
McCutcheon, a resident of Cumbernauld, Scotland, revealed that Albert was happily playing with his toys in his cage when he accidentally flicked open the latch.

McCutcheon informed SWNS, a British news service, that it was her husband who first noticed Albert’s absence.
“I went upstairs, and I heard my husband screaming, ‘The parrot’s out!'” McCutcheon recalled.
McCutcheon and her husband turned to Facebook, desperately seeking help from their local community to locate their missing parrot.
“I basically collapsed to my knees.”
“I saw people walking around and shouting his name into the trees trying to find him,” McCutcheon shared.
