In an extraordinary turn of events, police in North Carolina received a 911 call regarding a surprising passenger that had “tagged along” inside the grille of a resident’s vehicle.
Sharing the incident on their official Facebook page, the Kannapolis Fire and Police Department explained that Officer Jason Whitley promptly responded to the call. Upon investigation, they uncovered the astonishing sight of the front half of a ball python peering out from the grille of a Subaru vehicle.

The department humorously stated in their Facebook post, “This little guy hitched a ride from Mooresville to Kannapolis and didn’t want to leave.”

The courageous officer successfully extracted the snake from the vehicle without any issues.

The police found a new home for the python, which is believed to have either escaped or been abandoned by its previous owner.
In a light-hearted warning, the department added, “The Kannapolis Police Department urges everyone to be cautious when giving rides to strangers, especially those of the slithery kind.”
