After Being Injured at NY Concert, Bebe Rexha Proves She’s ‘Alright’ with Her Powerful Singing

  • Last night, during her performance in Manhattan, Bebe Rexha was struck in the head by a flying cell phone.
  • A 27-year-old man from New Jersey has been arrested and charged with assault, according to the police.
  • Rexha, while dryly singing her hit song “I’m Good (Blue),” shared a photo of her black eye on social media.

The New York Police Department has made an arrest following an incident where a man threw his phone at Bebe Rexha during a concert, hitting her in the head.

A spokesperson for the NYPD stated that 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna from New Jersey has been charged with assault as the investigation continues.

The incident occurred at the Pier 17 venue in lower Manhattan, and the arrest took place approximately an hour later.

On social media, Rexha shared a photo of her black eye and reassured her fans that she was “okay.” She also posted a video on TikTok singing a line from her song “I’m Good (Blue)” with David Guetta.

In videos circulating on social media, Rexha can be seen getting struck by an object and falling to the floor. She was later escorted from the venue while the crowd chanted her name.

According to the NYPD statement, it was determined that the 27-year-old male intentionally threw the cell phone at Rexha, resulting in her injury. The individual was promptly taken into custody.

Rexha’s representatives have not yet provided a comment on the incident. Rolling Stone reported that the singer received stitches for her injury, with a statement from a family member.

It is unknown whether this incident will affect Rexha’s “Best F’n Night of My Life” tour, which is scheduled to continue in Philadelphia tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Rexha is not the only artist to have been injured by objects thrown during performances. Last November, Rolling Stone noted that Harry Styles was hit in the eye by a bag of Skittles at a concert in Los Angeles.
