Actor Ingo Rademacher’s lawsuit against ABC has been dismissed by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephen Goorvitch, after Rademacher claimed he was fired from General Hospital for refusing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine due to religious reasons. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC’s parent company Disney won the summary judgment motion as it argued that Rademacher’s objection to the vaccine was based on health concerns rather than religious beliefs. Rademacher played Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks for 25 years on the popular soap opera and had previously applied for a religious exemption from getting vaccinated, which was denied by the TV network. Rademacher’s lawsuit claimed religious discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and violations of his rights to privacy. However, ABC argued that they thoroughly vetted vaccine exemption requests on a case-by-case basis.
