Aaron Rodgers, the NFL star who has generated significant buzz in recent years, has given fans a peek into his new life with the New York Jets.
After spending his entire 18-season NFL career with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers was traded to the Jets in April.
The Jets were chosen to be featured in the five-part docuseries, “Hard Knocks,” which provides an inside look at the team’s training camp.
The premiere episode focused on Rodgers and his integration with his new teammates.
Head coach Robert Saleh is looking to unite his team of emerging stars and veterans, and he is likely to rely on Rodgers, a four-time league MVP, for guidance.
“I’m thrilled to be here. Excited to be with you guys,” Rodgers said, captured in a training huddle on camera.
“All I can say is that this camp is long, right? Let’s appreciate the little things every day.
“Take time to laugh. Have conversations with new people during lunch, don’t always stick to the same group. Get to know your teammates.
“That’s part of being a leader. Enjoy the little moments. Time flies, and before you know it, you’re old and gray, reminiscing about every little moment. So cherish them now.”
In the first episode, Rodgers impresses his new teammates during training, maintaining his cool and composed demeanor.
However, his calm facade wavers when he meets “Hard Knocks” narrator, Liev Schreiber. The renowned actor, who has provided the show’s voice for years, visits the Jets’ training camp and engages in a conversation with Rodgers, who had expressed excitement about meeting him.
