Is democracy a thriving reality in our nation?
Do we possess an independent judiciary, a nonpartisan legislature, a military that serves the people, and a press that seeks the truth, all of which are free from political manipulation?
Do we have a leadership that prioritizes the needs of the masses over their personal interests; values truth, justice, and human rights; upholds the rule of law; promotes transparency and accountability; and protects our sovereignty?
And, do we have a population that cannot be easily fooled, bribed, or deceived by cunning politicians, and an electorate that elects competent public servants instead of criminals, incompetents, jokers, or ex-convicts?
If we do, then our country is worthy of love and even sacrifice.
