New heavy-lift rocket from Europe now has an official launch date! The European Space Agency (ESA) announced that the Ariane 6 rocket from Arianespace is scheduled for its inaugural flight no earlier than June 15, 2024. The launch will carry a variety of small satellites, including two from NASA, on its mission to space.
After a string of delays, Ariane 6’s progress is now rapidly advancing. A successful hotfire test was completed recently in Kourou, French Guiana, solidifying the rocket’s readiness for launch.
