Quick’s 23 saves maintained his stellar 7-0-1 record this season.
Currently leading the Metropolitan Division, the Rangers have had an impressive season, with a 16-2-1 record since starting at 2-2-0 and league-best stats – 18 wins and 37 points.
While San Jose’s Anthony Duclair, Jacob MacDonald, Fabian Zetterlund, Ryan Carpenter, and Alexander Barbanov gave a fierce performance, the Sharks faced their 11th loss out of 12 road games following the back-to-back games against New Jersey and New York.
Panarin secured his third hat trick with the Rangers, scoring his season-leading 15th goal which resulted in a 6-5 win. This fine performance elevated Panarin to a top position in the league, with 35 points and 19 games played. He joined an elite group of players in the Rangers’ history with a season-opening home point streak of 10-plus games.
This victory marked the 3,000th win for the Rangers in franchise history, a notable milestone for the team. The game also saw the Sharks’ Duclair, Carpentar, and MacDonald contributing early goals, and Zibanejad and MacDonald scoring essential goals towards the end.
