Experience a sneak peek of the latest season with a “Gen V” connection, Homelander going off the rails, and Morgan’s clandestine role!
Following the teenage supes of Gen V enjoying college life, The Boys enters to tease the intrigue of the next chapter.
Amazon unveiled the first teaser for The Boys season 4, packed with intense Jeffrey Dean Morgan, blatant MAGA satire, and new supes with apocalyptic intentions.
“Rome. Greece. All democracies fail because people are f—ing stupid,” Sister Sage (Susan Heyward), a new supe in The Seven, tells Homelander (Antony Starr). “But if you crush the masses who build your monuments, who tongue your taint… Nah, the people will tear it apart themselves. You just gotta nudge ’em a little. Then you get to swoop in and be the one saving it.”
“Like Caesar?” Homelander responds. “Like Caesar,” she confirms.
The footage hints at a tumultuous season. Gen V tipped us off that Homelander is more unhinged than before, leading his supporters to extreme measures. Their target? Starlight (Erin Moriarty), who enjoys support after exposing Homelander’s toxic traits on social media in season 3.
“The world is on the brink,” reads a new plot description for season 4. “Victoria Neuman [Claudia Doumit] is closer to the Oval Office, under Homelander’s influence. Butcher [Karl Urban], with months left to live, has lost Becca’s son and his role as the Boys’ leader. With the stakes higher than ever, they must find a way to unite and save the world.”
The footage alludes to a link with Gen V. Urban’s Butcher stands close to a Polarity cutout, the father of Chance Perdomo‘s Andre Anderson. We see new Seven members, including Sister Sage and Firecracker, creepy supes, and the introduction of Morgan.
The Walking Dead star and Supernatural alm, Morgan’s enlistment in The Boys has finally come to fruition. The encounter sees him confronting Butcher, asking, “Your team, what’s your code name again?” Upon hearing the Boys, he remarks, “Oof. Who came up with that s—?”
The premiere date hasn’t been set for The Boys season 4, but Amazon confirms its release next year. Watch the trailer above!
