Sandy Hook Families Extend Settlement Offer to Alex Jones for $1.5 Billion Debt

Sandy Hook Families Offer $1.5 Billion Deal to Settle Alex Jones’s Debt

Families of Sandy Hook victims proposed a settlement deal to Infowars founder Alex Jones to settle $1.5 billion debt. For making false allegations about the 2012 Newtown mass shooting, the families offered Jones to only pay 6 percent of what he owes: a minimum of $85 million over ten years. Lawyers for the victims mentioned that Jones had failed to fulfill bankruptcy obligations. They highlighted that his extravagant lifestyle and exorbitant spending have not been curbed. He reportedly spent $93,000 in July alone. Despite this, Jones claimed that the settlement figure was unrealistic. The families further argued that Jones had run out of time to settle his obligations. If the offer is not accepted, the court will decide the amount he needs to pay. Jones’s attorneys noted that he would present his own plan to resolve bankruptcy in December.
