Get Ready for Xbox Server Closures in December
December is on the horizon, and with it comes the impending closure of Xbox servers for several games. In total, 13 games will soon lose their online functionality, making it important for gamers to stay informed about what’s shutting down and when.
Upcoming Xbox Server Closures in November and December
The first game facing server closure is Bandai Namco’s Gundam Evolution on November 29. This online-only multiplayer FPS will discontinue all 12 Gundam Evolution achievements.
Next up is Rocket League, which will be removing player-to-player trading on December 5. While this isn’t a full server closure, it will impact multiple Xbox achievements, making some harder to unlock.
Courtesy of EA, several server closures are set for early December. Games such as Battlefield 1943, Battlefield: Bad Company, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Mirror’s Edge, Mirrors Edge Catalyst, Crysis 3, Dead Space 2, and Dante’s Inferno will all lose their online functionality on December 8. Only Mirror’s Edge and Dead Space 2 are free of online Xbox achievements.
On December 31, servers will close for both Anvil: Vault Breaker and NBA 2K22, discontinuing their respective achievements as well.
Looking further ahead, Ubisoft has announced the shutdown of online services in three Xbox 360 games, and the servers for Warface: Breakout are scheduled to close in April.
