The conviction of Jaimee Lee Carden to more than 12 years in prison after allowing two registered sex offenders to abuse her daughter for over three years. The 37 year old pleaded no contest Wednesday to charges of first-degree child abuse and assault with intent to do great bodily harm. The sentence sets a minimum of 12 years and six months in prison. Her husband was also convicted of murder and breaking and entering in connection to these events. Jaimee Carden abused substances while in custody of the children, despite warnings not to expose them to sex offenders. Any contribution in the form of cash and cars made to her by the sex offenders has not impacted her guilt. An assessment in 2020 found the victim suffers from severe emotional trauma.
