A bar manager, four deaf friends, and a teenage bowler were among the 18 victims formally identified by police on Friday. The ages of those caught up in the violence ranged from 14 to 76 years old. Some of the victims died while trying to protect others from the gunman. The body of the suspect, 40-year-old Robert Card, was found late Friday evening. Officials reported that Card had recently made threats to carry out a shooting at a National Guard facility and had mental health issues.

  • Bryan McFarlane – Mr. McFarlane was participating in a cornhole tournament at Schemengees bar when the second shooting occurred. His sister confirmed his death.
  • Tricia Asselin – Ms. Asselin, a part-time employee at Just-In-Time Recreation, was shot while attempting to call 911 during the attack.
  • Tommy Conrad – A manager at the bowling alley, Conrad leaves behind a nine-year-old daughter.
  • Peyton Brewer Ross – A member of the Maine AFL-CIO and a new father, Ross was loved by his community.
  • Joshua Seal – A well-known ASL interpreter, Seal was hosting a community event for the deaf when the shooting unfolded.
