During a crucial play near the goal line, Allen connected with Diggs, who slid to make an impressive catch and then evaded two safeties to score a touchdown. The Bills defense struggled to contain big plays throughout the game, allowing the Patriots to gain at least 15 yards on six occasions. New England capitalized on this vulnerability, scoring on six out of their nine drives.
The Bills’ offensive struggles commenced right from the beginning, as Josh Allen’s first pass of the game intended for tight end Dawson Knox was intercepted by safety Jabrill Peppers. The Patriots seized this early turnover and swiftly jumped to a commanding 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
