Law enforcement is currently on the lookout for suspects following a shooting incident that resulted in multiple injuries inside a residence in Meridian. This past weekend, Idaho State Police and Meridian officers promptly responded to a report of a shooting involving several victims at around 11:30 p.m. on Friday. The incident took place in the 600 block of East Gannett Drive, as stated in a news release from the Meridian Police Department.
Upon securing the location, officers discovered a single gunshot victim within the property. The person was promptly treated by Ada County Paramedics and subsequently transported to a local hospital. Police later discovered that a second individual had been brought to the hospital by a family member.
Fortunately, the hospital has since discharged both individuals, according to the press release.
Law enforcement authorities have determined that this was an isolated incident, assuring the public that there is no further risk. The Meridian Police Department’s release stated that an altercation had occurred between some of the attendees, which led to the discharge of firearms.
Although several people had gathered in the residence, many had departed after the shooting commenced and before the arrival of the police, as reported by the authorities.
