Finally, the recommended requirements for Alan Wake 2 on PC have been unveiled, and it seems that fans may need to upgrade their GPU.
The newly-revealed PC requirements indicate that in order to enjoy Alan Wake 2 with ray tracing enabled, players will need at least an RTX 4070. Additionally, an SSD hard drive with 90 gigabytes of storage is recommended for an optimal gaming experience. Here are the recommended requirements:
Recommended (No ray tracing)
- Resolution: 1440p
- GPU: GeForce RTX 3060 / Radeon RX 6600 XT
- VRAM: 8 GB
- DLSS/FSR 2: Balanced
- CPU: Ryzen 3700X or i7 10700
- RAM: 16 GB
- Storage: 90 GB SSD
Recommended (Ray tracing)
- Resolution: 1080p
- GPU: GeForce RTX 4070
- VRAM: 12 GB
- DLSS/FSR 2: Quality
- CPU: Ryzen 3700X or i7 10700
- RAM: 16 GB

However, one user reminds everyone that Alan Wake 2 is shaping up to be one of the most visually stunning games of this generation.
People going bananas over Alan Wake 2’s PC system requirements – as a reminder, the game is expected to be one of the best-looking games ever made (seriously). Also, the settings names like “low” don’t necessarily indicate inferior quality. Control ran on “low” on PS5 and still looked great.
