Frank Magalona, the son of the late rapper Francis M and his wife Pia Magalona, has appeared to align himself with a netizen who criticized the alleged secret lover of his father for publicly sharing their affair. In an episode of the YouTube series “Pinoy Pawnstars,” former flight attendant Abegail Rait claimed to have had a relationship with Francis M and revealed that they have a love child named Gaile Francesca, who is now 15 years old. While the Magalona family has not yet commented on this revelation, Frank caught the attention of netizens when he liked a post from Twitter user @JoselKnow, who referred to Rait as a “homewrecker” and “mistress.”
One netizen, @PlushiesForHope, expressed their disapproval of the online community siding with Francis M’s alleged mistress, stating, “I hope people will stop romanticizing this kind of situation as it can be triggering to one’s mental and emotional well-being.” Another user, @444_nzcole, questioned the normalization and romanticization of the affair, asking, “Respect who? Respect what? Respect cheaters and cheating?”
@islandgirl_808_ criticized Rait for her alleged role as a mistress, stating, “She chose to be a Kerida,” referring to a Filipino term for a mistress. On the other hand, @livelikepotter suggested that this matter should be settled privately between Rait and Francis M’s family rather than being everyone’s business.
The issue has divided public opinion, with some seemingly defending Francis M and his alleged love child. @jrcltmq questioned why people would hate Francis M when he is no longer here to defend himself, expressing that the truth may have been revealed late, but it is still honest. @up_kyla argued that if the allegations are true, the child deserves to be acknowledged as Francis M’s daughter.
Amidst the controversy, some netizens commended Francesca for her talent in rapping, which she seemingly inherited from her father, and praised “Pinoy Pawnstars” owner “Boss Toyo” for bringing Rait’s story to light.
Francis M, also known as the Master Rapper, sadly passed away in 2009 after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
