According to National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Sirard, Los Angeles County will experience temperatures well above what is considered normal for this time of year over the next few days. In fact, Thursday is expected to be the hottest day of the week.
Coastal areas will enjoy mild temperatures in the mid-70s, with Santa Monica reaching a comfortable 78 degrees on both Thursday and Friday. Downtown Los Angeles will experience mostly clear and sunny skies with highs in the 80s and even the 90s before the weekend arrives.
Heading towards the valleys, temperatures will spike into the 90s before Friday. Woodland Hills in San Fernando Valley is even expected to flirt with triple digits on Thursday. However, as we move towards the weekend, temperatures will cool down significantly to the lower 70s near the beaches and the low to mid-90s in valley areas.
Moving inland, Orange County and the Inland Empire will experience warm temperatures in the middle of the week, which will gradually cool down by Friday and remain so through the weekend and early next week. This information comes from National Weather Service meteorologist Casey Oswant.
Riverside and San Bernardino County will be under a heat advisory from Wednesday morning to Thursday evening, with temperatures reaching nearly 100 degrees in places like Perris and San Bernardino. By Saturday, the sunny skies will be accompanied by highs in the 80s, eventually dropping to the high 60s and mid-70s by Monday next week.
Coastal areas in Orange County can expect temperatures in the mid-70s and 80s, such as Huntington Beach reaching a pleasant 83 degrees on Thursday. Inland regions will experience a slight temperature increase in the middle of the week, ranging from the high 80s to mid-90s.
For those planning on visiting Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park and indulging in their selection of haunted mazes and spooky scare zones, be prepared for daytime temperatures in the 80s and cool evenings in the low 60s.
It is worth noting that fall weather will start to make an appearance in Orange County by Sunday, with patchy fog overnight, partly cloudy skies, and cooler temperatures in the low 70s on Monday and Tuesday next week.
