Outrageous Incident: Fuming Man Murders Innocent 6-Year-Old Muslim Boy and Injures His Mother in Hamas Attack

In a shocking incident, an Illinois woman dialed 911 on Saturday morning to report that her landlord was viciously attacking her and her son. Upon arrival, the police were confronted with a gruesome sight at the Plainfield Township residence: the woman had multiple stab wounds, while her 6-year-old son had been brutally stabbed 26 times. Meanwhile, the suspect was found outside the house with a cut on his forehead. The victims were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where the young boy, who had recently celebrated his birthday, was unfortunately pronounced dead, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The police discovered a 7-inch serrated blade, belonging to a military-style knife, stuck in the boy’s abdomen, as reported by Patch. Meanwhile, the boy’s mother remains in critical condition, as reported by NBC Chicago. The victims, who are of Palestinian-American origin, have prompted the police to charge Joseph Czuba, a 71-year-old man, with two hate crime counts.

“Detectives were able to determine that both victims in this brutal attack were targeted by the suspect due to them being Muslim and the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict involving Hamas and the Israelis,” states the Will County Sheriff’s Department. According to the woman’s text messages to her son’s father, she recalled Czuba making anti-Muslim remarks as he violently assaulted her after knocking on their door. She mentioned that he was agitated by what he had been witnessing on the news. Describing the incident, one of the texts stated, “It all happened in seconds.” Apart from the hate crime charges, Czuba is also facing first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The family claims that they had no prior issues with their landlord and shared that he had even built a treehouse for their young son.
