Colorado’s Versatile Player Travis Hunter Set to Play Against Stanford on Friday, Per Reports

Travis Hunter, the versatile star player for the Colorado Buffaloes, is set to return to action on Friday night against Stanford. This will be his first game since Week 3, when he suffered a lacerated liver. Hunter has been cleared to play and has been practicing, and according to an ESPN report, he remains on track to play. The Colorado coaching staff will monitor him before the game to ensure he is ready.

Hunter plays both cornerback and wide receiver for Colorado, but his snap count will be monitored, per ESPN.

In Colorado’s season opener against TCU, Hunter had an outstanding performance, playing 129 snaps. He recorded 11 catches for 119 yards on offense and also made an interception on defense. Head coach Deion Sanders expressed his desire for Hunter to be a valuable asset to the team and not a liability. Sanders commended Hunter’s dedication to the team and hopes he can contribute to their success.

Hunter sustained his liver injury on September 16th when he was hit late by Colorado State safety Henry Blackburn. The hit resulted in an unnecessary roughness penalty for Blackburn and a hospital visit for Hunter.
