Stay Ahead of the Game: Discover the Top 5 Fantasy Football Running Backs to Avoid in Week 6, Including Hall and White!

Week 6 Fantasy Football: Running Backs to Avoid

If you’re looking for fantasy football running back options for Week 6, it’s best to avoid Breece Hall and Rachaad White. Here are my top add/drops and rankings for quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends. Leading my Top 30 rankings for running backs are Kenneth Walker, Tony Pollard, Christian McCaffrey, Travis Etienne, and Austin Ekeler. However, if you own James Conner, De’Von Achane, or Khalil Herbert, it’s recommended to bench them due to injuries. Running backs from the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers should also be benched or dropped as they have bye weeks.

Breece Hall

Breece Hall had an outstanding performance last week, but this week he faces the tough Philadelphia Eagles defense. Currently ranked No.16, Hall should only be started as a last resort. With the Eagles allowing the fewest rushing yards and fantasy points to running backs, it’s unlikely that Hall will have much success. Additionally, if the Jets fall behind early, they may have to abandon the running game altogether. While Hall is a big-play threat, it’s not worth the risk against the Eagles. He’s a low-end RB2/flex play this week, but may return to RB1 status in the future.

Brian Robinson Jr.

Ranked No.18, Brian Robinson Jr. is another low-end RB2/flex option to consider. He had a disappointing game against the Chicago Bears last week, rushing for just 10 yards on six carries. Although he has scored in three out of five games this season, he hasn’t been able to eclipse 70 rushing yards in most of his appearances. Facing the Atlanta Falcons this week, who have yet to allow a touchdown to a running back and have surrendered the sixth-fewest fantasy points to the position, Robinson’s production is unlikely to improve. Unless he reaches the end zone, he won’t provide RB1 or high-end RB2 level production.

Dameon Pierce

Despite seeing a healthy workload, Dameon Pierce has been inefficient. Averaging just 2.9 yards per carry and scoring only once in five games, Pierce should be avoided for Week 6. The Houston Texans will be hosting the New Orleans Saints, who have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points and zero touchdowns to running backs this season. Ranked No.23, it’s difficult to rely on Pierce as a reliable fantasy football option.

Jerome Ford

Jerome Ford hasn’t made it to my Top 30 rankings. While he has scored in two out of his last three games, Ford has been an inefficient runner in most appearances. Failing to surpass 51 yards from scrimmage in three out of four games this season, it’s clear that Ford struggles to produce. Facing the San Francisco 49ers, who have allowed the fewest rushing yards per game and the seventh-fewest fantasy points to running backs, Ford should remain on the bench until further notice.

Rachaad White

Rachaad White also doesn’t make it to my running back rankings. Averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and scoring only once in four games, White hasn’t shown consistent fantasy football value. Furthermore, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play against the Detroit Lions, who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points, third-fewest rushing yards, and only two scores to running backs. White should be kept out of lineups until he proves himself.
