“The Wheel of Time” season two finale teased new villains for the heroes to face.
Last year, “The Wheel of Time,” a fantasy show based on a 15-book series, was renewed for a third season before the season two premiere. This ensures that the cliffhanger from season one will be resolved in the upcoming season.
In the season finale, the Emond’s Field five – Rand al’Thor, Perrin Aybara, Mat Cauthon, Egwene Al’Vere, and Nynaeve al’Meara – are brought to the city of Falme by the Dark One’s evil minions, the Forsaken.
The city faces chaos when it is attacked by the religious soldiers known as the Children of Light, who aim to eliminate the captured invaders in Falme.
After being tested on their strength and resolve, the five heroes finally join forces with Rand to defeat the Dark One’s lead minion, Ishamael. With the assistance of another ally, Rand successfully defeats Ishamael, seemingly killing him.
Then Moiraine, the aforementioned ally, uses the magic called the One Power to create a dragon made of fire and proclaims Rand as the Dragon Reborn, fulfilling the prophecy about the legendary hero.
However, the story doesn’t end here. In the last scene, it is revealed that the remaining Forsaken have been freed from their prisons and will be pursuing Rand and his friends.
While the premiere date for “The Wheel of Time” season three is unknown, we can anticipate these storylines based on the book series.
