Unveiling an Exciting Transformation: Fashion Island’s Hotel Receives a Fresh Look and a Brand-New Name – Orange County Register

The former Fashion Island Hotel is now Pendry Newport Beach

The former Fashion Island Hotel has completed its property flip, rebranded and newly opened as Pendry Newport Beach. Under the management of Pendry Hotels & Resorts, this 295-room hotel debuted on Wednesday, Sept. 27. Pendry Newport Beach is the eighth property in Pendry’s hospitality portfolio. In February 2022, Eagle Four Partners acquired the hotel from Irvine Co., although the terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Located just steps from the Fashion Island shopping center, Pendry Newport Beach is a 14-story hotel offering 114 suites with views of the Pacific Ocean, Newport Harbor, or Back Bay. Dining options include the fine dining SET Steak & Sushi by Clique Hospitality, as well as The Pub, a casual hideaway serving pub fare and European-style beers. The members-only Elwood Club features the restaurant Viamara, which offers Italian-inspired lunch and dinner menus made with locally sourced ingredients. Other amenities at the hotel include a spa, fitness center, Tree Shack Bar & Grill by the pool, a kid’s club, and 58,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Room rates start at approximately $400 per night.

New logistics facility in Las Vegas by CapRock Partners

CapRock Partners, a Newport Beach-based company, has started construction on CapRock Highlander Logistics Center in Las Vegas. The facility will consist of two warehouse buildings spanning a combined 1.48 million square feet. The speculative north Vegas project is expected to be completed in 2025. CapRock has already completed 11 buildings totaling 2.6 million square feet of distribution and logistics space in Las Vegas since 2021.

Ramser Development expands storage portfolio in Florida

Ramser Development Co., based in Newport Beach, has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Seminole and Patch Industrial Outdoor Storage in Orlando, Florida. This 14.2-acre industrial storage property will bolster Ramser’s presence in the Orlando market, which is considered a key distribution hub in the Southeast U.S. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Ramser intends to hold the property for the long term. The company is actively seeking new investment opportunities in RV and boat storage throughout Florida and the Sunbelt region of the U.S.
