Los Angeles World Airports revealed on Friday the inauguration of LAX Budget Parking, a brand-new parking facility that aims to enhance the options available to airport guests.
With a nearly 16% increase in year-over-year passenger traffic, LAX officials recognized the need to accommodate travelers by providing parking solutions.
LAX Budget Parking builds upon the existing LAX Economy Parking Facility and incorporates contactless entry/exit, shuttle bus tracking, and real-time reservation changes, as stated by Los Angeles World Airports.
Prices for LAX Budget Parking range from $15 to $20 per day, with additional discounts available. Guests can conveniently reserve their parking space in advance through the online booking system at parking.flyLAX.com.
“The transformation of Lot E into LAX Budget Parking has been an exciting project for us, especially after the success of our smart parking initiatives,” commented Justice Erbacci, CEO of LAWA, in the official statement.
“LAX Budget Parking not only addresses the demand for parking facilities but also provides cost-effective options and sets industry standards in collaboration with our partners at ABM Industries,” Erbacci further added.
According to LAWA, the parking facility, situated at 5455 W. 111th Street between Aviation Boulevard and La Cienega Boulevard, occupies the former location of Parking Lot E. It offers a total of 2,600 spaces and, when combined with the Economy Parking, Van Nuys FlyAway, and Central Terminal Area, brings the count of LAX Official Airport Parking to over 15,000 spaces.
Shuttle buses operate at intervals of approximately 20 to 30 minutes, providing convenient transportation between LAX Budget Parking and the Central Terminal Area.
The opening of LAX Budget Parking is part of a multi-billion-dollar LAX capital improvement program, which also includes the forthcoming Automated People Mover train system and Consolidated Rent-A-Car facility, among other initiatives.
