Marnie Sparer’s statement reveals that Miller was born on September 17, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in Grand Prairie, a city outside of Dallas. After earning a production degree from the University of Texas at Austin, he moved to Los Angeles. In L.A., Miller started working in the mailroom at an entertainment management company. Following a dare from his friends, he embarked on an acting career.
Miller quickly found success by starring in commercials. In 2007, he landed his breakout television role on the ABC soap opera “All My Children,” where he portrayed the character Richie Novak for approximately a year.
Shortly after leaving “All My Children,” Miller made his debut appearance as Billy Abbott on the CBS daytime drama “The Young and the Restless.” This role became his claim to fame, and he continued playing it until 2014. During his six-year stint on the show, Miller received five Daytime Emmy Award nominations and won three in 2010, 2013, and 2014.
Later on, Miller joined the cast of “General Hospital,” another well-known daytime soap opera. He initially portrayed Jason Morgan and later took on the role of Drew Cain, Jason’s twin. Miller appeared on the show from 2013 until his departure in 2019.
Besides his extensive work in daytime television, Miller also appeared in various films and TV series, including “Truth be Told,” “Suits,” “Ray Donovan,” “Bad Blood,” “Fatal Honeymoon,” “American Sniper,” “Ringer,” “Justified,” and “Castle.” Additionally, he owned multiple restaurants and bars located in Los Angeles.
