Prepare for winter with Canada’s Rocky Mountain Blizzard Powerplay, a fat-tire mountain bike designed to tackle snowy trails. This motorized version of the Blizzard hard-tail fat bike offers the perfect blend of power and performance for snow-loving riders.
The Powerplay comes in two model variants, both featuring an alloy frame with trail-ready geometry and a rigid carbon fork. With 15 mounting points, you can easily attach optional accessories needed for your snowy adventures.
Equipped with Rocky Mountain’s new Dyname 4.0 mid-drive motor, the eMTB delivers up to 700 watts and 108 Nm of torque, providing up to 350% boost at the pedal. The bike comes with a standard 720-Wh removable Li-ion battery, and you also have the option to add a 314-Wh range extender. While per-charge range estimates have not been revealed, you can expect impressive performance.
Stay on track with the Blizzard Powerplay’s impressive traction, provided by 27.5-inch WTB tubeless-ready rims and 4.5-inch VeeTire Snow Avalanche fat tires (with studs included, though not installed).
The A50 model boasts four-piston Sram G2 hydraulic brakes, while the A30 variant features dual-piston Sram Level brakes. Additionally, the A50 is equipped with a 10-speed Sram gearset, while the A30 comes with a MicroShift setup.
Excitingly, the A50 is priced at $6,259, while the A30 is slightly more affordable at $5,249. Both models are expected to be released soon.
