Greta Garbo’s Former Beverly Hills Mansion Hits Market at $10M – A Timeless Celeb Property Worth Exploring!

The former California residence of the legendary screen actress, Greta Garbo, has recently been put up for sale. Located in the prestigious neighborhood of Beverly Hills, this six-bedroom, six-bathroom house holds a special place in Hollywood history. According to reports from Robb Report, Greta Garbo, and her close companion, orchestra conductor Leopold Stokowski, once resided in the home and their relationship was rumored to be romantic.

Garbo’s stay in the house was relatively short, believed to be from 1937 to 1939, before she moved on to another rented property. Since then, the house at 9330 Beverly Crest Drive has undergone significant renovations and redesigns by the renowned celebrity designer, Nicole Sassman. This stunning property is now on the market for $10 million, after a $2 million reduction from its initial asking price last summer.

The Greta Garbo Estate, as it is fondly called, has been transformed into the epitome of luxury living in Beverly Hills. The listing, held by Markus Canter and Cristie St. James of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, describes the house as a perfect combination of old Hollywood charm and modern comfort. Situated on a hill, it offers breathtaking panoramic views from downtown LA to the Pacific Ocean. This property is more than just a house; it is an experience that embodies glamour, history, and the coveted California luxury lifestyle.

Nestled in the prestigious Crest streets of Beverly Hills, the Greta Garbo Estate features six spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, spanning over 4,675 square feet of living space. The interior of the house showcases sumptuous woods and stonework, creating an opulent atmosphere. Custom cabinetry graces the kitchen, while the living room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. The outdoor area is multi-leveled and includes a sundeck, a zero-edge infinity pool, and a hidden Zen bar and lounge for a touch of tranquility.

Additional features of the property include central air-conditioning, a wine cellar, and a walk-in pantry. The Greta Garbo Estate truly captures the essence of luxury living in Beverly Hills and offers a unique opportunity to own a piece of Hollywood history.

The former California home of a late great screen actress has hit the market.
In Beverly Hills, this six-bedroom, six-bathroom was once occupied by the film star Greta Garbo and her then-recently divorced orchestra conductor pal Leopold Stokowski, the pair rumored to be lovers, according to Robb Report.
Garbo’s stay at the abode was relatively brief, and it’s believed she stayed there from about 1937 to 1939, at which point she moved to the next of a long line of rented residences, the publication reported.

Since Garbo’s time at 9330 Beverly Crest Drive, it has been significantly renovated and built out by the “illustrious celebrity designer” Nicole Sassman — and now asks $10 million.

The price is a $2 million reduction from what it asked upon first listing last summer before being taken off the market in November, Mansion Global reported.

“The Greta Garbo Estate is the epitome of an iconic Beverly Hills luxury residence,” Markus Canter, who holds the listing with Cristie St. James — both of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties — told The Post.  (Previously, a different brokerage represented the estate.)

“The home combines the allure of Hollywood’s golden era with modern comfort and opulence, perched perfectly on the hill providing some of the most breathtaking panoramic views from downtown LA to the Pacific Ocean,” Canter continued.

“It’s not just a house; it’s an experience, an embodiment of glamor, history and the coveted California luxury lifestyle.”
