Denver ‘Beetlejuice’ Musical Shocker: Rep. Lauren Boebert Given the Boot!

U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert was expelled from a “Beetlejuice” show in Denver on Sunday, as seen in security footage.

The theater did not explicitly mention Boebert, but a spokesperson confirmed that the individuals shown in the video were asked to leave due to accusations from other audience members of vaping, singing, phone usage, and causing a disturbance.

Boebert’s campaign manager acknowledged that she was asked to leave but denied the vaping allegation. Both Boebert and her guest subsequently departed.

“I can confirm the shocking and scandalous rumors: congresswoman Lauren Boebert actually supports the performing arts (gasp!),” stated Drew Sexton, Boebert’s campaign manager in a text message. Sexton added that Boebert admits to singing along, laughing, and enjoying herself.

Currently serving her second term in Congress, Boebert is seeking re-election in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, which mainly encompasses the western portion of the state. The Denver Post first reported the theater incident.

Throughout her relatively brief time in Washington, Boebert has gained national attention for her confrontational approach, most notably by heckling President Joe Biden during his 2022 State of the Union address to Congress.

According to the theater’s statement, during the argument, both Boebert and her guest made remarks such as “do you know who I am” and “I will be contacting the mayor.”

On the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Boebert stated: “Everyone should see it if you have the opportunity this week, and please inform me how it concludes!”

Initially, the two guests refused to leave the venue, even after an employee threatened to involve the police, as per the theater’s statement. Eventually, with an escort, they departed as a police officer was en route. The security footage provided to The Associated Press does not indicate Boebert vaping.
