Experience the All-New 2024 Ford F-150 with Fresh, Modern Blue Oval Emblem Design!

When the 2024 Ford F-150 was recently spotted in spy shots, enthusiasts noticed a change to the front fascia: a revised Blue Oval emblem. And now, with the debut of the production 2024 F-150 in Detroit, the new badge is officially here. According to a senior Ford designer who spoke with Car and Driver, the Blue Oval has indeed been updated. Take a look at the image above: the old badge on the left is from a 2023 F-150 at a dealership, while the new one on the right is from Ford’s press materials and can be seen on the 2024 F-150 STX trim. Although the badges come from different sources, it’s clear that the new badge has some noticeable changes. It features a flatter face and a single contour line inside the edge, replacing the previous double outline with a thick outer ring and a thin inner ring. The Ford script on the emblem also appears flatter as it fills the extra room, and the logo itself is now in blue and white instead of blue and chrome.

If you delve into the history of the Blue Oval badge, you’ll find that the new version is a remix of its predecessors. It closely resembles the badge Ford introduced in 1965 and used until 1976. The 1965 version can be traced back to the badge from 1927, which had a less pronounced oval shape. Since 1976, the badge has gone through some official revisions, including the Centennial Blue Oval introduced in 2003 to commemorate Ford’s 100 years, and another update in 2017. However, the badge that has adorned Ford vehicles for years is essentially the 1976 variant.

Undoubtedly, this updated corporate identity will be rolled out across the entire lineup as new models and facelifted versions are introduced. In fact, even the European-market Ford Kuga prototype, which is the equivalent of the departing Ford Escape, has been spotted wearing the same badge as the 2024 F-150.
