Man from Jurupa Valley Arrested on Suspected Murder Charges

An Individual from Jurupa Valley Arrested for Suspected Involvement in April Murder Case

In a recent announcement, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the arrest of a 28-year-old man from Jurupa Valley on suspicion of a murder that took place in April. The incident occurred on April 7, when sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive man at the 22200 block of Piedras Road. Despite their efforts to revive the individual, identified as 29-year-old Gorge Sandoval, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Subsequent investigation by the Sheriff’s Coroner’s Bureau revealed that Sandoval’s cause of death was fentanyl poisoning.

Investigators were able to trace the source of the fentanyl responsible for Sandoval’s death to a suspect named John Sandoval, 28, residing in Jurupa Valley. It remains unclear whether the suspect and the victim were related.

In an unrelated narcotics search conducted on June 2 by the Riverside Police Department, two kilograms of suspected fentanyl were seized from John Sandoval’s residence on Saddle Creek Drive. Consequently, he was taken into custody and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale. However, Sandoval was released on probation on June 20 after being convicted.

On Thursday, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Overdose Death Investigations and Narcotics Unit apprehended John Sandoval at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s station for his suspected involvement in the murder of Gorge Sandoval.
