However, trouble arises at a cocktail party after the football game. Marshall and Jackie have a heartfelt conversation in which they apologize for their past actions, agree to move forward as friends, and wish each other the best.
A previously undisclosed love triangle between Josh, Jackie, and Monica becomes a focal point.
Tensions rise when Monica Rodriguez, Jackie’s pod friend and fellow season 4 castmate, appears. It is revealed that Monica and Josh had actually formed a connection in the pods and became engaged during filming. However, their relationship did not work out and was ultimately cut from the final edit.

According to ET, Monica reportedly revealed in her post that she ended the engagement after feeling uncertain during the reveal.
Once Monica arrives, she tries to have a heart-to-heart with Jackie about the situation, emphasizing her desire to be Jackie’s friend and leave the drama behind. Monica even has Jackie call Josh over to try and resolve the tension between the three of them, but Josh rejects her efforts. He accuses Monica of seeking attention and expresses his unhappiness with comments left by Monica’s friends on the post, which he feels were disrespectful towards him. The argument escalates into a shouting match between Monica and Josh, causing Jackie to leave. Shortly after, Josh abandons Monica at the table to talk to Jackie.
In the final moments, Josh urges Jackie to remove her microphone so they can go home.
On Instagram, Jackie and Josh appear to be enjoying their relationship.
Since filming “After the Altar,” Jackie and Josh have been sharing photos and TikToks of their vacations and downtime in the apartment they appear to share. Josh’s Instagram account is now private, but Jackie continues to follow him and occasionally tags him in comments on her own posts. Although Jackie hasn’t posted any couple photos to her page since June, she did like a post from a Seattle-based photographer featuring pictures of the two of them as a couple, in which they were both tagged.
