Do Jackie and Josh From ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 4 Remain a Couple? Monica Sparks Dramatic Moments

  • The fourth season of “Love Is Blind” premiered its “After the Altar” episodes on Friday.
  • These episodes provide updates on the couples from the fourth season one year later.
  • Among the featured couples, Josh and Jackie are still together, but their relationship remains tumultuous.

During their time on the fourth season of Netflix’s “Love Is Blind,” Josh Demas and Jackie Bonds elicited strong emotions from viewers due to the drama they caused with other cast members. Based on the “After the Altar” episodes that premiered on Friday, it appears that the couple has not changed.

On “Love Is Blind,” Jackie accepted a proposal from Marshall Glaze while in the pods. They traveled to Mexico together with the other engaged couples, but their relationship took a turn once they returned to Seattle and started living together. Jackie frequently expressed frustration about Marshall not being “masculine” enough, and in one well-known argument, she even told Marshall to “boss up.” They broke up, and Jackie pursued Josh, whom she had initially rejected in the pods.

Josh did not receive much screen time after leaving the pods, until he and Jackie reconnected at a coffee shop following her breakup with Marshall. To complicate matters further, leaked texts from Jackie criticizing Marshall went viral on TikTok while the episodes were being aired on Netflix in April. (Jackie has since apologized.)

During the fourth season reunion, Jackie and Josh revealed that they were still together. Here’s what you need to know about the current status of their relationship, one year after filming “Love Is Blind.”

Jackie and Josh are still in a relationship in the “After the Altar” episodes, and their relationship remains fraught with drama.

The episodes show the couple enjoying a wine and cheese date on a ferris wheel in Seattle, and getting the keys to their new apartment. They still appear happy in their relationship, even attending a flag football game organized by their fellow season 4 castmates Bliss and Zack, which also featured other contestants from their season, including Marshall.

However, trouble arises at a cocktail party after the football game. Marshall and Jackie have a heartfelt conversation in which they apologize for their past actions, agree to move forward as friends, and wish each other the best.

A previously undisclosed love triangle between Josh, Jackie, and Monica becomes a focal point.

Tensions rise when Monica Rodriguez, Jackie’s pod friend and fellow season 4 castmate, appears. It is revealed that Monica and Josh had actually formed a connection in the pods and became engaged during filming. However, their relationship did not work out and was ultimately cut from the final edit.

It seems that Josh and Jackie were upset when Monica posted about her engagement on Instagram earlier this year, after “Love Is Blind” aired. While Monica’s account now appears to be private, a report from ScreenRant at the time states that Monica wrote about her engagement in a lengthy post without mentioning anyone by name. According to ET, Monica reportedly revealed in her post that she ended the engagement after feeling uncertain during the reveal.

Once Monica arrives, she tries to have a heart-to-heart with Jackie about the situation, emphasizing her desire to be Jackie’s friend and leave the drama behind. Monica even has Jackie call Josh over to try and resolve the tension between the three of them, but Josh rejects her efforts. He accuses Monica of seeking attention and expresses his unhappiness with comments left by Monica’s friends on the post, which he feels were disrespectful towards him. The argument escalates into a shouting match between Monica and Josh, causing Jackie to leave. Shortly after, Josh abandons Monica at the table to talk to Jackie.

In the final moments, Josh urges Jackie to remove her microphone so they can go home.

On Instagram, Jackie and Josh appear to be enjoying their relationship.

Since filming “After the Altar,” Jackie and Josh have been sharing photos and TikToks of their vacations and downtime in the apartment they appear to share. Josh’s Instagram account is now private, but Jackie continues to follow him and occasionally tags him in comments on her own posts. Although Jackie hasn’t posted any couple photos to her page since June, she did like a post from a Seattle-based photographer featuring pictures of the two of them as a couple, in which they were both tagged.

The fourth season of “Love Is Blind: After the Altar” is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
