Concert Film of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour to Premiere on the Same Day as the Latest “Exorcist” Movie

“Exorswift” is poised to rival “Barbenheimer” in terms of popularity and success.

On Thursday, renowned pop star Taylor Swift thrilled fans by announcing that her highly acclaimed Eras Tour will be hitting theaters on October 13.

“The Eras Tour has been the most profound and exhilarating experience of my life thus far, and I am thrilled to inform you that it will soon be available on the big screen. Starting October 13th, you can experience the concert film in theaters across North America!” Swift tweeted.

The release date coincides with the premiere of “The Exorcist: Believer,” the latest installment in the Exorcist franchise.

This exciting double feature has sparked the hashtag #Exorswift on social media, reminiscent of the “Barbenheimer” craze earlier this summer, which resulted in significant box office earnings.

Shortly after the announcement, AMC Theaters revealed that they had to enhance their server capacity in preparation for the anticipated surge in ticket demand.

“In anticipation of the high demand for advance tickets, AMC has increased its server capacity to handle traffic at more than 5 times the current record for the most tickets sold in an hour,” the company stated.

This precautionary measure may prove wise after Ticketmaster experienced difficulties during the sale of Eras Tour concert tickets, leading to a lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleges that Ticketmaster distributed pre-sale codes to fans despite knowing that it would not be able to fulfill all ticket orders for Swift’s performances. The plaintiffs also accuse the service, owned by Live Nation Entertainment, of selling a significant number of tickets to scalpers and bots, leaving fewer seats available for genuine fans.

The immensely popular Eras Tour has been credited with boosting the economy. According to market research firm QuestionPro, the tour has the potential to contribute $5 billion to the global economy. So far, the tour has grossed over $300 million, with more than 1.1 million tickets sold at an average price of $253.

The Eras Tour film comes after Swift successfully concluded the U.S. leg of the tour, giving fans who were unable to attend a live show a second chance to experience it on the big screen.
