It appears that their infectious behavior spreads faster than Whoopi Goldberg’s legs in a hotel pool (an image she herself once shared). Recall the infamous Duke lacrosse scandal? Ah, it seems the media would prefer that we forget it ever occurred. This scandal involved false accusations of white fraternity members raping a black stripper. The media, of course, went into a frenzy. But alas, it turned out to be entirely fabricated. The only individuals who faced legal consequences were the prosecutor and the stripper, who is now imprisoned for murder. Oh, and she never writes back, which is disappointing. Remember the Covington kids? They were falsely portrayed as racists harassing a Native American man. Video evidence later revealed the truth, exposing the man’s lies about his Vietnam veteran status. One would think that the media might learn from such incidents, but then along came Jussie Smollett, followed by the Russian collusion and Hunter Biden’s laptop fiascos.

I could continue with more examples, but I don’t want to disrupt the viewers of “Fox & Friends First” and startle them with the truth. However, there is another troubling memory that certain individuals would prefer we forget due to its dire consequences – the movement to defund the police. This ill-conceived idea originated from “The Squad,” the birthplace of outlandish notions. Initially, the left and their media allies embraced this notion. Who can forget Kamala Harris offering to bail out rioters during the “Summer of Love” in 2020? Unfortunately, instead of funding law enforcement, the money raised went towards personal luxuries. The dream of a harmonious world where criminals assist elderly pedestrians instead of assaulting them and stealing their belongings quickly crumbled beneath the weight of reality.

Defunding the police has proven to be a disastrous idea. Major cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, St. Louis, and New York now resemble scenes from a horror film. Police departments are understaffed, and public transportation systems have become unsafe. Even small towns like Goodhue, Minnesota, have witnessed the entire police force resigning. Democratic politicians conveniently develop amnesia when faced with the consequences of their actions.

You might wonder, what’s the solution? Will things improve? Allow me to provide an honest answer – no, this is the new normal. The abnormal has become the accepted reality, thanks to the mentally unstable and delusional left. If you reside in a city and accept the current state of affairs, that’s your choice. However, if you yearn for a safer environment, you have two options. You can fight back, like those who have taken a stand, or you can end up like Daniel Penny with felony charges.
