Authorities have apprehended a 49-year-old man on suspicion of burglarizing a storage facility, as announced by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday.
The incident occurred on July 28 at a storage facility in Palm Desert, where four individuals fell victim to the suspects. In total, the stolen property from their storage units exceeded $30,000 in value, according to Sgt. Travis Mountz.
Through diligent efforts, the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team successfully identified one of the suspects, Allen Jerry Andris. Andris, a 49-year-old resident of Banning, was apprehended at his residence on Friday at approximately 9:20 a.m. Shortly after, a search warrant was executed by the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, resulting in Andris’ arrest on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Furthermore, a 42-year-old woman named Lisa Atherly was found at the location and subsequently arrested, as she had an outstanding felony warrant. The specifics of her outstanding warrant remain undisclosed.
Both Andris and Atherly have been booked at the Smith Correctional Facility.
