Contrary to an Instagram post declaring her demise, Influencer Lil Tay is confirmed to be alive

In a statement given to TMZ on Thursday, the controversial young internet personality known as Lil Tay, whose real name is Tay Tian, confirmed that she and her brother, Jason Tian, are both alive and well. This statement came after a post on her Instagram account, which has since been deleted, falsely claimed that they had “passed away”.

The now-deleted post provided no explanation or details about the alleged deaths, adding to the confusion. Lil Tay, in her statement to TMZ, expressed her heartbreak over the situation and the difficulty she experienced in finding the right words to respond. She described the past 24 hours as traumatizing, filled with sorrowful phone calls from concerned loved ones while trying to handle the aftermath of the incident.

According to reports, Lil Tay also addressed the situation on Instagram, stating that her account was hacked by a third party who spread false information about her. She emphasized that her legal name is Tay Tian, not “Claire Hope”, as mistakenly stated in the misleading posts.

Lil Tay expressed her gratitude towards social media company Meta for assisting her in retrieving her Instagram account and removing the false statement. The statement followed another mysterious Instagram post from an account called @termanii.__, which claimed that Lil Tay and her brother were still alive but had lost access to their official Instagram account.

Lil Tay’s former manager, Harry Tsang, mentioned that he had been in contact with individuals who were familiar with the family’s situation but couldn’t confirm the accuracy of the deleted Instagram post. He emphasized the need for careful consideration and respect for the sensitivity of the circumstances, urging people to rely on reliable sources for information and await further updates.

Lil Tay’s father, Christian Hope, declined to comment on the post and refused to confirm his daughter’s death when approached by Insider. The Vancouver Police Department stated that they were not aware of any death reports regarding Lil Tay or her brother.

Furthermore, both the Los Angeles Police Department and the county medical examiner had no information regarding an investigation into the death of anyone named Claire Hope, as reported by Insider.
