Lil Tay’s Instagram account released a statement announcing her sudden and tragic death, stating, “It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire’s sudden and tragic passing. We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock.”
The statement also mentioned the passing of Lil Tay’s brother, adding an unimaginable depth to their grief. The circumstances surrounding their deaths are currently under investigation, and during this time of immense sorrow, the family has requested privacy.
Lil Tay first gained fame in 2017 as the self-proclaimed “youngest flexer of the century.” Her brash statements and bold personality catapulted her into internet stardom, earning her more than 3 million followers on Instagram.
