An individual, believed to be the third suspect, has been apprehended in connection with the fatal car-to-car shooting of a 19-year-old man in Irvine, according to authorities. The suspect, identified as Hailey Angelique Rangel, 20, from Lake Elsinore, was arrested on Sunday near Green River Road and the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona. She has been booked on suspicion of homicide. Irvine Police Department detectives have determined that Rangel was the driver of the white Honda Civic in which the two other suspects were traveling prior to the shooting.
The two other suspects, Jayden Browndorf, 21, from Irvine, and Noah Farmer, 22, from Tustin, were apprehended on Saturday. All three suspects are scheduled to appear in the jail courtroom of Santa Ana on Tuesday. Browndorf, Farmer, and Rangel are accused of being involved in the shooting that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Nicholas Alistair Neaimi-Pour at Athel Avenue and Sego Street around 12:40 p.m. on Thursday.
According to the Irvine police, Neaimi-Pour entered the passenger seat of a black Mercedes-Benz parked on the east curb of Athel Avenue. Shortly after, a Honda Civic pulled up beside the Mercedes and Farmer, who exited the Honda, opened fire on the victim. Neaimi-Pour fled from the Mercedes and collapsed while a resident attempted to assist him before emergency services arrived.
Browndorf and Farmer, who resided in the vicinity, were arrested as investigators executed a search warrant at their residence. Both were taken into custody on Saturday on suspicion of homicide.
Authorities have recovered both vehicles involved in the shooting incident.
Farmer has a previous case pending involving charges of assault and battery, classified as misdemeanors, on June 14, 2021. Additionally, he was charged with a felony count of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury on February 9, 2021, as per court records.
Rangel, on the other hand, has a pending case involving misdemeanors such as corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and malicious damage of personal property, dating back to April 14, according to court records.
All three suspects are currently being held without bail, as indicated by jail records.
