This is a slight decrease compared to the 42.4 percent pull rate they had under the previous hitting coach, Dillon Lawson.
However, the Yankees’ new hitting strategy isn’t necessarily about using the whole field. According to Isiah Kiner-Falefa, the Yankees may be going the opposite way more often because they are taking an extra moment to decide whether to swing or not. This change in approach aims to improve their ability to see the ball longer and slow the game down.
