Federal Drug and Ammunition Charges Filed Against Reseda Resident

An individual with a criminal record, who authorities claim has ties to a racially motivated violent extremist group, was charged on Friday with federal drug and ammunition offenses. The charges stem from a search warrant executed at the individual’s Reseda residence.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Ryan Scott Bradford, aged 34, is accused of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and illegally possessing ammunition as a convicted felon. During the search on Thursday, FBI, DEA agents, and the LAPD discovered 116 rounds of ammunition, firearm components, and two 3D printers. Notably, one of the printers had swastikas painted on it. As a precautionary measure, law enforcement temporarily closed surrounding streets when they came across what appeared to be an improvised explosive device.

It has been determined that Bradford is prohibited from possessing ammunition due to a burglary conviction in 2012. The warrant was executed in the area near White Oak Avenue and Saticoy Street, as part of an ongoing investigation, as stated by Laura Eimiller of the FBI.

U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada emphasized the potential danger posed to the community, stating, “We will continue to investigate this matter to ensure that this defendant is held accountable for his crimes, and to keep our community safe from acts of violence motivated by racist and hateful ideology.”

According to the affidavit filed with the complaint, law enforcement discovered items consistent with Bradford’s online posts, which showcased his violent extremist ideology and expressed intent to harm Jewish individuals. The affidavit revealed that Bradford posted an Amazon review for a 3D printer motherboard, accompanied by a photo displaying a tattoo on his left hand that reads “Hate.” Additionally, he is believed to be the operator of an account on an instant-messaging service where he allegedly made threats of violence towards Jewish individuals.
