The Kurashiki Ablaze are determined to showcase their exceptional volleyball style as they aim for a spot in the final match against defending champion Creamline in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference.
The Division 3 team from Japan has been unstoppable in the semifinal round, winning all three games against Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh, Cignal, and F2 Logistics without losing a set and ending their opponents’ chances at the championship.
Kurashiki, with a perfect 3-0 record, will battle against the PLDT High Speed Hitters, who are still in contention with a 2-2 record, for the last spot in the finals at Philsports Arena on Thursday.
Coach Hideo Suzuki instructs his team to continue displaying their resilient and disciplined floor defense in their crucial match against the High Speed Hitters. The team aims to maintain their solid receiving and prevent the ball from dropping to secure victory.
“We will continue to show the Kurashiki Ablaze volleyball style. We won’t allow the ball to drop and keep on receiving. If we continue to do it, we won’t lose. Let’s do our best,” said Hideo through a translator after their 25-20, 25-22, 25-20 win over F2 Logistics on Tuesday evening.
